The headline is misleading at best. The story itself says that 3M stockpiled manufacturing ability against the advice of financial advisors, took the advice of scientific experts early on and brought its excess manufacturing capability out of mothballs, and ramped up production and diverted resources to N95 manufacturing as the crisis hit. While way, way, WAY down there are some minor suggestions about how the company could have done better, the actual damange to its reputation was done by unwarranted and untrue attacks from the otrange shitgibbon.
